Keyword & Search Help:

To help you find the photographs you are looking for, my entire portfolio is fully searchable.  The search engine allows you to refine your search by selecting the various photograph description boxes in each of the four steps.  At least one box in each step must be checked. To view the entire set of portfolios check all the boxes.

This search also offers the option of entering key words or phrases.  This allows you to set the search criteria by trying to match the keywords with every photograph in the database.  The chances of finding the exact image you are looking for are therefore greatly increased.  This feature is ideally suited for stock photo researchers who are trying to match images with your advertising or marketing criteria.

Every photograph on this site has an extensive list of key words or phrases associated with it. Each image has between 10 and 30 words attached which describe the location, content and style.  During a search, you can enter any words or phrases desired to describe the photographs you want to see.  These words will then be compared to each of the keywords saved in the database and any matches will be placed on the results page for you to view.

To improve your chances of matching your keywords with the saved database words, please follow these simple guidelines.

• Use keywords sparingly.  The more words you enter the less likely the chances of a successful match.
• Use singular forms instead of plural forms eg. city instead of cities
• Use lower case letters only.

An example of a photograph and its keywords is given below.  When you enter keywords for your search your aim is to match them with words like these stored in the portfolio database.
